About Me
Jennifer Ruiz Blandon, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Before I’m a therapist, I’m a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a first-generation Latina.
Like many first-gen eldest daughters, I learned early what it meant to be responsible, to show up for family, to work hard, and to hold a lot of expectations.
Those experiences shaped not only who I am as a person, but how I show up in my work today.
MY MISSION
As a first-generation Latina and eldest daughter of Colombian parents, I understand the quiet pressure many women carry, wanting to honor their family while also trying to build a life that feels authentic to them.
This work matters deeply to me because I’ve seen how powerful it can be when someone finally has space to understand themselves without judgment.
Therapy doesn’t erase responsibility or family values.
But it can help you move through life with more clarity, steadiness, and self-trust.
And sometimes, that changes everything.
MY WORK
My work is rooted in the understanding that our life experiences, family dynamics, cultural expectations, and personal challenges, shape how we move through the world.
Because of that, therapy isn’t just about talking through problems.
It’s about understanding the patterns we’ve developed, learning how stress and emotions live in the body, and building tools that help you move through life with more clarity and balance.
My approach is trauma-informed, culturally aware, and holistic, recognizing that emotional, mental, and physical well-being are deeply connected.
Therapy is not about “fixing” you.
It’s about creating a space where you can understand your experiences, reconnect with yourself, and move forward with greater clarity and self-trust.
