Psychological Immigration Evaluations
Psychological Immigration Evaluations
If you're navigating an immigration process, a psychological evaluation can help document the emotional and mental health impact of your experience in a clear and clinically appropriate way.
I provide comprehensive evaluations to support cases such as:
• Extreme Hardship Waivers
• Asylum
• Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)
• U-Visa
Each evaluation includes a clinical interview, a written report, and coordination with your attorney when needed.
My goal is to ensure your story is documented clearly, respectfully, and in a way that supports your legal case.
Evaluations are available in English and Spanish and can be conducted virtually for clients in New York.
My Approach
Therapy that honors your story, your culture, and your pace.
Safe Place to Be Honest
You don’t have to filter your feelings or pretend everything is fine. Therapy is a space where you can speak openly and feel supported without judgment.
Collaborate Openly
You’re part of the process. We keep communication open and decisions shared—no black boxes or surprises.
Working with the Whole You
My approach is trauma-informed and holistic, recognizing the connection between emotional, mental, and physical well-being.
Moving Forward with Support
Therapy is not about fixing you. It’s about helping you develop insight, tools, and confidence so you can move through life with more clarity and balance.
Your Support System
Jennifer Ruiz Blandon, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience supporting adults navigating trauma, anxiety, burnout, and major life transitions.
As a first-generation eldest daughter of Colombian parents, I understand the balance many of my clients carry, honoring family, culture, and responsibility while also trying to build a life that feels authentic and sustainable.
In our work together, we explore how past experiences may still be shaping the way you think, feel, and respond to stress today. My approach is trauma-informed and holistic, recognizing that life experiences live not only in our memories but also in our bodies and patterns.
I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, relational therapy, somatic (body-based) awareness, nervous system regulation, and mindfulness practices to support your healing and growth.
My goal isn’t to “fix” you. It’s to create a space where you can better understand yourself, reconnect with your needs and boundaries, and move forward with greater clarity and self-trust.
Sessions are offered virtually throughout New York State and are available in English and Spanish.
Therapy is not about “fixing” you.
